The device (4) has a lower opening (28) extending along longitudinal direction from the device, and bearing surfaces (18) extending on sides of the opening. The surfaces support a part of an anchor (6) of a porch swing. The surfaces are tilted in an opposite manner toward the opening to allow an automatic transverse positioning of the part of the anchor resting on the surfaces. A perimeter of the opening is opened at a front longitudinal end and closed at a rear longitudinal end by a rear stop surface. The surfaces include a front stop surface at the front longitudinal end. An independent claim is also included for an anchor.
