An apparatus and a method for receiving signals in a communication system are provided to receive the signals so as to remove interference by regenerating ICI(Inter Cell Interference), thereby improving signal receiving performance of the signal receiving apparatus. A first demodulator(219) generates a first signal by demodulating a received signal by using a demodulation mode corresponding to a demodulation mode used in a signal transmitting device. A first decoder(221) generates a second signal by deciding the first signal by using a decoding mode corresponding to an encoding mode used in the signal transmitting device. An interference removing unit(251) generates a third signal by removing an interference signal from the received signal by using neighboring cell information. A second demodulator(259) generates a fourth signal by demodulating the third signal by using the demodulation mode. A second decoder(261) generates a fifth signal by decoding the fourth signal by using the decoding mode. |
