PURPOSE: A shock-absorbing wire rope guardrail is provided to induce a wire rope extension effect for shock absorption by destroying a winding body when collided with a car, thereby largely increasing the rate of shock absorption. CONSTITUTION: A shock-absorbing wire rope guardrail for absorbing the impact of a car collision comprises multiple support posts(10), a winding body unit(20), and a wire rope. The multiple support posts having their lower parts lay underground and their upper parts protruded from the ground are installed to keep a certain distance between each other. The winding body provides more than one connection between the support posts arranged on a horizontal plane, has one side or both sides connected with one side of the support post, and includes a seating groove on the outer surface to wind for placing stably the wire rope inside. The wire rope is wound up by the winding body in the oblique direction.
