<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lightweight foamed beads capable of secondary expansion and comprising compostable or biobased polyesters, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: blending a melt processable composition in an extruder to form an extrudate; incorporating a first blowing agent into the composition, wherein the first blowing agent comprises a physical blowing agent; incorporating a second blowing agent into the composition, wherein the second blowing agent comprises a chemical blowing agent; and pelletizing the extrudate to form a bead. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
