<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor 1 whose surge is sufficiently suppressed and in which an operating range thereof is enlarged toward a lower flow rate side. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical expansion part 33 is formed between a suction port 25 and an impeller 11. An inlet tapered part 35 the inside diameter of which is made smaller gradually toward the upstream direction, is formed on the inlet side of the expansion part 33. An outlet tapered part 37 the inside diameter of which is made smaller gradually toward the downstream direction, is formed on the outlet side of the expansion part 33. The inside diameter of the expansion part 33 is set to be larger than that of the suction port 25 and is two or more times of the inlet diameter of the impeller 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
