<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust removal method for a bridge which hardly worsens work environment, allows treatment products to be easily disposed of, and allows rust to be reliably removed by relatively easy derusting work. <P>SOLUTION: A fastening part 30 is fastened to a steel member 1 by magnet force, a nonwoven fabric 5 is arranged so as to cover the surface of the steel member 1, a presser plate 4 is arranged such that a screw insertion hole 41 is inserted into a screw rod 31 connected to the fastening part 30, and the presser plate 4 is pressed with a nut 32 screwed to the screw rod 31, so that the nonwoven fabric 5 is held between the steel member 1 and the presser plate 4. A rust removal liquid with a pH of 1 containing 9.5 wt.% hydrogen chloride is then supplied to the nonwoven fabric 5 through a supply hole 42 of the presser plate 4.
