<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that suitably reduces the thickness of a heat exchanger and reduces heat loss when partial combustion is performed in a burner. <P>SOLUTION: A water heater WH includes a burner 5 for partial combustion, a fan 51 for supplying combustion air, and a heat exchanger H1 having a meandering heat transfer tube T1 having a plurality of straight tube body parts 11a arranged along a width of a combustible region A1 of the burner 5 and connected in series through a connecting tube body. The heat exchanger HE1 is provided in a single stage in a direction where the meandering heat transfer tube T1 faces the burner 5. When a region of partial combustion of the burner 5 is smaller than a non-combustion region of the combustible region A1 during the partial combustion, the region of the partial combustion is arranged closer to each of the straight tube body parts 11a of the hot-water supply side than the lateral center CL of the combustible region A1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
