<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide granules of coffee powder covered with a covering composition containing additional components such as a coffee extract, a tea extract, a dairy product, a sweetener and a nutritional supplement. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the granules of the covered coffee powder includes: a step for heating a mixture of the covering composition with the coffee powder to a temperature which is lower than the melting point of the covering composition and at which the covering composition forms a covering film at least on a part of the coffee powder, and a step for cooling the mixture and obtaining the granules including the coffee powder having the covering film of the covering composition formed at least on the part of the surface of the coffee powder.
