<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with which handwritten character recognition can be performed by using a commercially available writing tool. <P>SOLUTION: A handwritten character recognition device includes a writing tool 4 for writing a character and a symbol and a sheet 5, and collects, by a microphone 1, writing sound generated when writing on the sheet is performed by the writing tool, extracts an electric signal of a specific frequency included in the writing sound, and checks a handwritten character against registered data on the basis of a frequency signal showing writing character and recognizes the handwritten character. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
