<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a flicker generated by the embedding of digital watermark information in moving images. <P>SOLUTION: An image acquisition section 11 acquires a time series of images. A digital watermark information acquisition section 12 acquires digital watermark information. A digital watermark pattern generation section 13 generates a digital watermark pattern including a plurality of pixels with a first predetermined value, varying in area at a constant period, and varying in the phase of the periodic area variations in dependence on the value of symbols included in the digital watermark information. A flicker suppression pattern generation section 14 generates a flicker suppression pattern including a plurality of pixels with a second predetermined value, and varying in area with a frequency characteristic different from the period. A pattern combination section 15 first superimposes the digital watermark pattern and also the flicker suppression pattern on an image region of each of the time series of images, and then corrects the value of each pixel in the image region with the pattern superimposed in accordance with the first value and the second value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
