<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having a polyester resin mixed with a polycarbonate resin, which has sufficient mechanical strength such as impact resistance, flame retardancy such as self-extinguishing ability in the atmosphere, good fluidity in a molten state, and sufficient mix-moldability; and to provide a production method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition is a mixed composition including (A1) >5 mass% and <40 mass% of a polyester resin, (A2) >40 mass% and <70 mass% of a polycarbonate resin, (B) 5 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less of polyethylene, (C) 5 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less of a phosphorus compound having an aromatic ring, and (D) 1.0 mass% or more to 10 mass% or less of a polymer compound selected from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), phenol resin and polyamide (PA).
