<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book format conversion method and a conversion system for efficiently converting even content data whose character expressions, etc. depend on an electronic book format, into a predetermined electronic format. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic book format conversion method includes steps of, in a process of converting content data described in a markup language at least with a tag for linking an image to a text area relevant to the image into a predetermined electronic book format: extracting a character code which does not correspond to the predetermined electronic book format from the content data described in the markup language; and converting an extracted external character into a character code which changes into a character image linked to the external character or is linked to the extracted external character and included in character code data information, based on setting information on a specified conversion condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
