<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure for appropriately applying lubricant A to each of an intermediate transfer belt 181 and a conveyance belt 140, without enlarging a device. <P>SOLUTION: A lubricant application mechanism 135 is arranged closer to a conveyance belt 140. Surface hardness of an intermediate transfer belt 181 is reduced in comparison with surface hardness of the conveyance belt 140. By this, lubricant A is first applied to the conveyance belt 140. Next, the lubricant A is transferred from the conveyance belt 140 to the intermediate transfer belt 181, at a nip part N of the conveyance belt 140 and the intermediate transfer belt 181. As a result, there is no need for providing a lubricant application mechanism in each belt, and the lubricant A can be appropriately applied to each belt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
