<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polychlorinated biphenyl decomposition treatment method capable of performing decomposition treatment in a sodium dispersion while suppressing an increase in labor and time when 1-bromopropane is further contained in coil that contains PCB. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the polychlorinated biphenyl decomposition treatment method, the oil and the sodium dispersion are mixed for decomposing PCB in the coil containing 1-bromopropane together with PCB. The the oil and sodium dispersion are mixed so that the temperature of their mixture becomes 70°C or lower, 1-bromopropane and sodium are reacted in a state where the temperature of the mixture is 70°C or lower, and at least a part of 1-bromopropane is debrominated.
