<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing uneven gloss occurring in a higher gross condition and an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a rotatable fixing roll 61; a fixing belt 62 which is movable while contacting with the fixing roll 61; and a pressure pad 64 which is arranged so as to face the fixing roll 61 via the fixing belt 62 and brings the fixing belt 62 into press-contact with the fixing roll 61, to form a nip portion N between the fixing roll 61 and the fixing belt 62, through which nip portion N a paper sheet P passes. A higher gross fixing condition can be set by using an OS coat paper having a basis weight of 127 gsm as a paper sheet P. The fixing belt 62 includes a base material layer and a surface layer provided on the base material layer on the side of the fixing roll 61 and having at least a release layer. As to recesses and projections occurring on the surface of the surface layer when forming the surface layer by a flow coating method, the difference of adjacent recess and projection is 3 μm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
