<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing agent for forming a fingerprint resistant film in which stains such as fingerprints sticking to the surface is not visible, which is excellent in both fingerprint resistance and adhesiveness between the film and the surface of a substrate, a processing agent for forming the fingerprint resistant film excellent in the abrasive resistance of the film, a processing agent for forming a fingerprint resistant film improving finger slidability, and a fingerprint resistant glass substrate having the film comprising those processing agents. <P>SOLUTION: The fingerprint resistant film forming processing agent is characterized in that a compound A in which hydroxyl groups of a monool or a polyol containing at least one structure selected from a group consisting an ethylene oxide chain, a propylene oxide chain, and a butylene oxide chain as a repeating unit are modified by a silicon compound is the film forming component. The fingerprint resistant glass is characterized by having the fingerprint resistant film formed by the processing agent.
