<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which inhibits mist of a sealing oil from being carried to the downstream along a pipeline which sends a scavenged cooling medium gas. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes: a rotor 11; a stator 12; a frame 13; a shaft sealing device 141; and a gas purity maintaining device 15. The gas purity maintaining device 15 includes: an expansion tank 21; a first mist recovery section 31; a valve unit 32; a drain pot 33; and an instrument panel 34. The first mist recovery section 31 is provided at an intermediate part of a scavenging pipe 3 extending from the expansion tank 21 for exhausting a cooling medium gas G in the expansion tank 21, and the downstream side of the first mist recovery section 31 is placed so as to be higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
