<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal device which allows rotation of a pedal arm to be maintained. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 30 is provided coaxially with a rotation axis O of a pedal arm 20 rotatably provided in a housing 10. A plurality of first helical gear teeth 21 are provided on a rotor-side outer wall of the pedal arm 20, and a plurality of second helical gear teeth 32 are provided on pedal arm-side outer wall of the rotor 30. The first helical gear teeth 21 and the second helical gear teeth 32 can be brought into contact with each other. A first friction plate 41 is provided between the rotor 30 and the housing 10. A first spring 51 urges the rotor 30 in a pedal closing direction, and a second spring 52 urges the pedal arm 20 in the pedal closing direction. Therefore, when a frictional coefficient of a first slide surface between the first friction plate 41 and the rotor 30 increases, the pedal arm 20 is rotated in the pedal closing direction by an urging force of the second spring 52 by driver's reducing a tread force given to the pedal arm 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
