<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch unit having an inverse input cutoff function which reduces torque to be required and stabilizes operation when rotationally driving an output side member by adding input torque in a predetermined direction with reverse input torque in the same direction. <P>SOLUTION: A ball screw 3 is formed between an input shaft 1 and output shaft 2. The relative rotation of the input/output shafts 1, 2 is converted into the relative axial movement of the input/output shafts 1, 2 with the ball screw 3. The input/output shafts 1, 2 are abutted on a control member 8 of a static side mechanism 4 in an axial direction. Switching between a locking and lock releasing states with respect to reverse input torque in a given direction is executed by existence and nonexistence of friction with the control member 8. When rotationally driving the output shaft 2, by so doing, the shifting between the locking and lock releasing states is made to be executed more smoothly than a conventional roller type while the input torque requiring the release of the locking state becomes smaller than that of a conventional roller type unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
