PURPOSE: A low-alloy duplex stainless steel having excellent corrosion resistance and hot machinability is provided to obtain the corrosion resistance same as or more than stainless steel 304 or 304L which is an austenite-based stainless steel. CONSTITUTION: A low-alloy duplex stainless steel having excellent corrosion resistance and hot machinability is composed of 0.06 wt.% or less of C, 1.5 wt.% or less of Si, 2 wt.% or less of Mn, 19-23 wt.% of Cr, 1.8-3.5 wt.% of Ni, 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Mo, 0.3-1.0 wt.% of Cu, and 0.16-0.30 wt.% of N, and additionally includes one or more of 0.003-0.05 wt.% of Al, 0.001-0.005 wt.% of B, and 0.001-0.01 wt.% of Ca.
