The device (20) has a base plate (22) supported on a mast of an aircraft during utilization. A front board carries a guide arm (24), a ramp (26), a nacelle (32) for receiving a pre-cooler and an adjustable support unit (30) i.e. jack, that supports the pre-cooler for assembling and/or disassembling the pre-cooler on and/or from the mast. A handle is attached on the arm and a readjusting device for allowing controlled displacement of the pre-cooler on the ramp. The support unit is fixed to a carrier plate (44) that is attached on a part of the mast during utilization. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for disassembling a pre-cooler from an engine of an aircraft (2) a method for assembling a pre-cooler in an engine of an aircraft. |
