<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve calibration method of an optional waveform generator. <P>SOLUTION: The optional waveform generator is calibrated using an S-parameter. The channel contained in the optional waveform generator may be either a single non-interleaved channel or interleaved multiple channels. Further, it is adapted to the case of generating a differential signal. A plurality of channel pairs may be calibrated using two channels as one pair.
