<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control circuit which can rotate a motor smoothly. <P>SOLUTION: The motor control circuit has a rotation position decoding part, a rotation position determination part, and a motor driving signal generation part. The motor control circuit controls the motor in accordance with the rotation position of the motor detected by a sensor. The rotation position decoding part generates a rotation position signal representing the rotation position of the motor in accordance with a sensor signal provided by the sensor. The rotation position determination part stores a present rotation position of the motor on the basis of the rotation position signal, updates the stored present rotation position to the next rotation position when the rotation position signal represents the next rotation position of the stored present rotation position, and generates a motor control signal representing the next rotation position.
