<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting a solar cell array which firstly cost-effectively automates an inspection and secondly easily builds databases for managing inspection and other data and storing general corrective data. <P>SOLUTION: An inspection apparatus 11 includes an inspection unit 12. A switching section 14 of the inspection unit 12 can switch a cable contact between a string 3 and a power conditioner 7 from a normally closed connection to an open disconnection. An inspection execution section 15 of the inspection unit 12 can apply an input signal to the string 3 and can measure an output signal that is a response from the string 3. When an inspection start condition is satisfied, a control section 16 of the inspection unit 12 instructs the switching section 14 to switch over and then instructs the inspection execution section 15 to execute an inspection.
