The window/port-hole has peripheral casing formed of parts (1a-1d) in which a glass pane (2) is embedded. The pane is maintained in the casing on inner side by a holding part i.e. glass clamp formed of parts (4a-4d) and on an external side by a second holding part i.e. glass rest formed of parts (5a-5d). A part forming a window frame of the window/port-hole is constituted by the casing and/or the glass rest and includes elements arranged one after another. End pieces of the elements are assembled rigidly by fitting and by a structural adhesive interposed between fitting surfaces of the pieces. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a marine window or port-hole.
