PURPOSE: A plant with improved yield-related traits and a method for producing the same are provided to produce a plant with improved yield-related property. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving plant yield-related traits comprises a step of regulating the expression of a nucleic acid encoding AP2-26-like polypeptide. The AP2-26-like polypeptide contains a Pfam PF00847 domain. The expression is regulated by introduction and expression of the nucleic acid into a plant. The improved yield-related traits includes yield and/or initial activity. The improved yield-related traits are obtained under a non-stress condition. The nucleic acid is operatively linked to Oryza sativa-derived RCc3 promoter.
