PURPOSE: A caisson is provided to remarkably reduce construction time by reducing the weight of the caisson and to improve structural stability. CONSTITUTION: A caisson comprises a body(100) and a joint. The body is installed on a foundation riprap(10) located at the boundary line of the inland sea and the open sea in a vertical direction. The joint is formed on the bottom surface of the body touching the foundation riprap and improves coupling force with the foundation riprap when the body is inclined by waves.
