PURPOSE: A lamp device of a vehicle and a method for controlling the same are provided to improve safety by securing night visibility in advance when driving on a curved road. CONSTITUTION: A first stage receives the location information of a driving vehicle for sensing a curved road in the driving direction of the vehicle(S210). A second stage calls the curved road information, which is stored in advance, corresponding to the sensed curved road(S220) and irradiates light to a curved road location corresponding to the location information based on the called curved road information(S230). A third stage receives varied location information of the vehicle(S250). The third stage irradiates light to the curved road location corresponding to the varied location information of the vehicle(S260).
