The station (300) has a storage unit for storing identification loops (302) intended to be fixed at ears of piglets. Each loop is formed by a male part (304) and a female part (306) and intended to be crimped around the ears inserted manually in a dedicated housing (308). A control unit (312) is utilized for crimping around the ears. An automatic execution unit executes controlled crimping around the ears based on the loops that are formed by the male part and the female part and automatically transmitted by the storage unit. An independent claim is also included for a piglet identification method.
