<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of easily performing operation for correcting pincushion distortion, and further to provide a control method of the projector. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1 performs the steps of: causing an OSD processor 25 to display eight identifying images individually corresponding to four corners and four sides among the four corners of a projected image represented by image light modulated by a liquid crystal light valve 12 by projecting the image light from a projection optical system; accepting operation for selecting one out of the eight identifying images displayed by an input operating section 22; displaying an identifying image G selected by the operation in a highlighted manner and in an identifiable manner from other identifying images G; accepting operation for moving a predetermined position on the corners or the sides by the input operating section 22 in a state that the identifying images G are displayed; and executing pincushion distortion correction coinciding with movement of the predetermined position by an image correcting section 26 while moving the predetermined position on the corners or the sides corresponding to the identifying image G selected on the basis of the operation accepted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
