<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image information processing apparatus and an image information processing method capable of effectively utilizing face image data of a viewer, face image data of a performer included in program data of a program, and program information. <P>SOLUTION: A image processor detects first face image data from an imaging signal. A second image processor detects second face image data included in the program data.
