EVAPORATOR INCLUDING COLD STORAGE FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator including a cold storage function improved in cold storage performance and cold radiation performance.

SOLUTION: The evaporator 1 including the cold storage function includes a plurality of flat refrigerant flowing pipes 13 disposed at intervals, and a plurality of cold storage material containers 16 with inner fins 23 disposed inside. The cold storage material containers 16 are disposed in some ventilation gaps 15 among all ventilation gaps 15 formed between mutual adjacent refrigerant flowing pipes 13. Left and right both sides walls 21a of the cold storage material containers 16 are placed along the refrigerant flowing pipes 13 on both sides. The both sides walls 21a of the cold storage material container 16 are provided with a plurality of projections 24 protruding outward and having protruded ends in contact with the refrigerant flowing pipes 13. Each projection 24 is composed of a pair of outward protruded walls formed integrally with the side wall 21a of the cold storage material container 16 and a connection wall mutually connecting ends of the both outward protruded walls. Brazing filler metal fills between the both outward protruded walls of each projection 24.
