<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the responsiveness of the changeover of the opening and closing of a thermal valve after the stop of current-carrying to a heater, in the thermal valve comprising a valve chamber for connecting a flow-in port and a flow-out port, a valve casing having a valve seat arranged in the valve chamber, a valve body displaceable to a closing side approaching the valve seal and an opening side separating from the valve seat, a shape memory alloy spring for biasing the valve body to the closing side or the opening side, and the heater for heating the shape memory alloy spring. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling jacket 26 communicating to the valve chamber 23 is arranged at the circumference of a cylindrical case 7 which air-tightly partitions an arrangement part of the shape memory alloy spring 5 and the heater 6 with respect to the valve chamber 23. Furthermore, the shape memory alloy spring 5 is arranged near the peripheral wall of the case 7, and the heater 6 is arranged at the internal peripheral side of the shape memory alloy spring 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
