<p>Acid- and alkali-resistant insulation for metal and concrete surfaces comprises rubber (esp. EP rubber) sheets which are glued to the surfaces to be protected by means of a synthetic resin cement. The sheets are 3-10mm thick, each sheets having a surface of >=0.1m2. The resinous cement is pref. a furan, epoxy or polyester cement, applied with a spreader and contg. a filler having a great specific surface area. Used in the (industrial) building industry and civil engineering, e.g. in protection of factory floors against corrosive substances. Simple and rapid fixing of the protective sheets is achieved.</p> |
