<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety of a power-assisted carriage having a driving force assisted by an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: A controller (30) makes the electric motor (15) operate to impart a computed assist force to a drive wheel (11), makes an item platform lifting/lowering portion (2) operate for lifting/lowering in accordance with instructions on lifting/lowering of the item platform (3), applies a brake (16) when an operation detection unit (29) detects instructions on the application of the brake (16), and inhibits the operation of the electric motor (15) without reference to the result of detection by a torque detection unit (6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
