METHOD FOR TREATING COPPER CONCENTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a copper concentrate which can efficiently and economically remove an Fe-condensed tailing from the copper concentrate while preventing Cu loss.

SOLUTION: The method for treating the copper concentrate includes: a sulfurization conversion step of sulfurizing the copper concentrate containing chalcopyrite (CuFeS2); a grinding step of grinding sulfurization conversion particles obtained from the sulfurization conversion step until 50% particle size becomes 15-50 μm; and a separation step of separating ground particles obtained from the grinding step into a floatation concentrate with high Cu grade and a floatation tailing with low Cu grade by floatation treatment.
