<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer fabric in which one of front and rear knitted fabrics is bulged and the other thereof is flat, and a portion at a desired position can be bulged. <P>SOLUTION: A method for knitting a spacer fabric includes the steps of: repeating forming tuck stitches with a connecting yarn, at intervals of a plurality of stitches both in a front knitted fabric and in a rear knitted fabric without forming tuck stitches on stitches facing each other, alternately on stitches held on needles of the front knitted fabric and on stitches held on needles of the rear knitted fabric, while changing the stitches on which the tuck stitches are to be formed, so as to form the tuck stitch on each of the stitches in the front knitted fabric and the rear knitted fabric; forming subsequent stitches, at intervals of a plurality of stitches, on the stitches on which the tuck stitches have been formed in the front fabric; forming subsequent stitches, at intervals of a plurality of stitches, on the stitches on which the tuck stitches have been formed in the rear fabric; and then while changing the stitches on which subsequent stitches are to be formed, forming a subsequent stitch on each of the stitches on which the tuck stitches have been formed in the front knitted fabric and the rear knitted fabric. In the method, the subsequent stitches are firstly formed in the knitted fabric on a side to be made flat, and the subsequent stitches are lastly formed on the tuck stitches in the knitted fabric on a side to be bulged, which are connected by the connecting yarn to the tuck stitches on which the subsequent stitches have been firstly formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
