<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air roll unit which is prevented in the damage of a shaft and reducible in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The air roll unit 1 comprises: the shaft 21 connected to a roll body 20; a collar 3 attached to the shaft 21; an air bearing 4 for supporting the collar 3 in a non-contact manner; and a whirl-stop plate 6 attached to the collar 3 via a thrust plate 5. The inside diameter r2 of the collar 3 is set larger than that of the outside diameter r1 of the shaft 21. A slit 67 for radially connecting the internal peripheral face 65 and the external peripheral face 66 is formed at the whirl-stop plate 6, and a deep counterbored hole 68 is also formed at the whirl-stop plate so as to straddle the slit 67 from the external peripheral face 66. The whirl-stop plate 6 can be attached to and detached from the shaft 21 by inserting a bolt 83 into the deep counterbored hole 68 and by fastening or loosening the bolt 83. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
