<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide matte coated paper for printing, which shows superior ink-drying properties, printed surface strength, coating suitability and whiteness, and reduces a stain due to rubbing of ink, which cannot be obtained by conventional technique. <P>SOLUTION: In the matte coated paper for printing, which has at least one layer of a coated layer that contains pigment and an adhesive agent as a main component, and is formed on a base paper, 75 mass% or more of calcium carbonate is contained in 100 mass% of pigment that is contained in an outermost surface of the coated layer, the calcium carbonate contains 5-60 mass% of needle-like or/and columnar light calcium carbonate therein, and a particle diameter (D<SB POS="POST">50</SB>) of 50 vol.% in a particle size distribution curve of the light calcium carbonate is 0.3-2.5 μm, which is obtained by a laser diffraction method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
