<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake testing device, the thickness of which can be easily varied, but will not be varied with a pressing force from a brake pad. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a brake testing device 1 substituting for an object of braking of a braking device having a plate-like object of braking and a brake pad abutting against the object of braking to impart a frictional force, the brake testing device including: a pair of plate-like pedestals which are a pair of plate-like pedestals 6, 7 arranged in parallel with each other, have slopes 21, 22 and 23, 24 formed at least one surface between two opposite surfaces 6a, 7a to gradually increase a distance between surfaces toward one end of the plate-like pedestals, and is configured to freely move in directions in which the two opposed surfaces move to approach and separate from each other; wedge-like wedge members 8, 9 inserted into wedge-like gaps formed between the slopes and surfaces facing the slopes; a driving mechanism driving the wedge members in an insertion direction and an opposite direction thereof; and a wire 28 with a spring energizing the pair of plate-like pedestals in directions in which they approach each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
