FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE FABRIC MATERIAL AND ARTICLE MADE THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reinforced composite fabric material with high strength and high elastic modulus capable of being formed into a complicated curving shape or a deep drawing shape without damaging fiber even when carbon fiber is used.

SOLUTION: A fiber reinforced composite fabric material is obtained by the steps of: subjecting a carbon fiber bundle 3 to rolling stitch and engagement with an engaging yarn 4 of thermoplastic synthetic fiber yarn to form a composite fiber yarn 1 with these yarns varying their tensions; and weaving the composite fiber yarn 1 as warp and/or weft into a fabric sheet with a prescribed size. Preferably, the fabric material is obtained by the steps of: parallelling one or plural of the carbon fiber bundle 3 bundling multifilament with a parallelling yarn 5 made of thermoplastic synthetic fiber yarn comprising nylon, polypropylene and polyester; and subjecting the parallelled yarn to rolling stitch and engagement with an engaging yarn 4 of thermoplastic, synthetic, monofilament fiber yarn with these yarns varying their tensions.
