<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element with a high anti-reflection effect in a wide band by forming an asperity shape with a feasible height on an optical surface of the optical element. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element is formed with a structure consisting of the asperity shape 11 with substantially use wavelength having an antireflection function, on an optical surface. The structure includes frustum-shape objects or pyramidal objects that are arranged with their contact with each other. When an average height from the lowermost part of the recess to the uppermost part of the protrusion in the structure is defined as h0 and the average height from a part where a protrusion adjacent to the protrusion comes into contact with each other to the uppermost part of the protrusion is defined as h1, the following expression is satisfied: 0.1≤(h0-h1)/h0≤0.25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
