PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow a pitch of a data line while compressing an amplitude of a data signal.

SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes: a holding capacitor 44 having one end connected to data lines 14; a holding capacitor 50 for holding each potential of the data lines 14; and a holding capacitor 41 which once holds a data signal Vd(j) of a potential in accordance with a gradation level, and of which the held data signal is supplied to the other end of the holding capacitor 44 at a predetermined timing. The holding capacitors are formed on a semiconductor substrate. The holding capacitor 41 includes a first capacitor 411 and a second capacitor 412 which are electrically connected in parallel. The first capacitor 411 and the second capacitor 412 are formed so as to overlap with each other when viewed from a vertical direction of a semiconductor substrate 150.
