<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent false recognition in an authentication operation by a biometric authentication device, caused by inexperience with the operation, insufficient understanding, fluctuation of performance, difference of installation sites or height of an authentication device between registration and authentication, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A biometric authentication device comprises: a first detection unit for detecting biometric information; a second detection unit for detecting a tactile contact position for a different region than the living body detected by the first detection unit; a storage unit which stores the biometric information and the tactile contact position for the different region than the living body detected by the first detection unit; a display unit which displays operational guidance; and a control unit for controlling the units. When registering the biometric information, the biometric information detected by the first detection unit and the tactile contact position detected by the second detection unit are stored in the storage unit, and when authenticating the biometric information, operational guidance corresponding to the tactile contact position stored in the storage unit is displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
