<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain sensor capable of improving longevity of the sensor function by reducing chances of damages to and foreign substance contamination of CNT film. <P>SOLUTION: A strain sensor of the present invention includes a flexible substrate, a CNT film which is made of a plurality of CNT fibers aligned in one direction and formed on the front surface of the substrate, and a pair of electrodes located at two opposite ends of the CNT film in the direction perpendicular to the orientation of the CNT fibers. The strain sensor also includes a protective resin coating which is in contact with at least part of the surface of the CNT fibers to protect the CNT film. The protective resin coating is preferably laminated over the surface of the CNT film. It is also preferred that the protective resin coating covers at least a portion of the CNT fibers constituting the CNT film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
