<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a lifting of a recording medium from a support portion. <P>SOLUTION: An image recording apparatus includes: the support portion for supporting the recording medium on which a pattern is recorded; a recording unit for recording an image on the recording medium positioned at the support portion; a conveying unit for conveying the recording medium downstream of a conveying direction; a sensor for reading the pattern; and a control unit for detecting a lifting of the recording medium from the support portion based on the reading result from the sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
