<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus comprising a blower fan for separation at a fixing device which is capable of suppressing a temperature increase without stopping the apparatus even when an in-apparatus temperature is increased. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming part which forms an image on paper; a fixing part which let the paper having the image formed thereon pass, and fixes the image on paper; a fixation heating part which heats the fixing part; a temperature measuring part which measures an environmental temperature within the apparatus; a blower part which blows the paper passing the fixing part, and separates the paper from the fixing part; and a control part which controls the image formation, the paper passing and the blowing. When the control part receives a measurement result by the temperature measuring part and determines that an in-apparatus temperature is a predetermined temperature or higher, it suppresses the blowing by the blower part and performs a control for continuing the image formation and the paper passing.And thereby, the image forming apparatus can perform efficiently image formation and image fixation with a minimum downtime of the apparatus while maintaining appropriate image forming conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
