<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision determining device capable of stably obtaining high collision determining precision regardless of differences in the structure and material of collision opposite party. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle collision determining device includes: a sound sensor 11 detecting vibration caused at a vehicle 100 having an extension frame 111 in which a plurality of energy absorption section A1 and A2 absorbing shock upon collision are provided; an energy change amount calculating means calculating the energy change amount of high frequency vibration in an audio bandwidth included in the vibration detected by the sound sensor 11; and a collision determining means determining whether collision which needs activation of an airbag 2 is caused on the basis of the energy change amount calculated by crushing of any one energy absorption section ou of the plurality of energy absorption sections A1 and A2 provided in the extension frame 111. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
