<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction machine capable of suppressing deformation of an outer cover when lifting up a device. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 1 comprises a body part 10, an image forming part 20 accommodated in the body part 10, and an image reading part 100 which is disposed above the body part 10. The body part 10 includes a frame which supports the image forming part 20 and to which the image reading part 100 is fixed, and outer covers 80L, 80R which are attached to the outside of the frame and constitute side walls of the body part 10. At least a part of side walls 107L, 107R of the image reading part 100 and at least a part of the outer covers 80L, 80R form continuous surfaces P1L, P1R which extend vertically with no steps.
