PORTABLE TERMINAL DEVICE, AREA DESIGNATION METHOD, AND AREA DESIGNATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device which allows a user to designate a target area from a photographic image.

SOLUTION: The portable terminal device includes: a determination part for determining a display image to be displayed in a display screen among multiple photographic images taken by a camera; a first acquisition part for acquiring first and second angular velocities around first and second axes respectively defined in a plane surface crossing a normal line of the display screen of the portable terminal device; a first calculation part for calculating first and second rotation amounts around the first and second axes respectively of the portable terminal device on the basis of the first and second angular velocities; a second calculation part for calculating coordinates included in the range of the display screen and interlocked with an optical axis of the camera on the basis of the first and second rotation amounts; a superposition part for superposing a pointer on the coordinates of the display image; a display part for displaying the display image on which the pointer is superposed in the display screen; and an extraction part for extracting an image area including the pointer from the display image.
